The Transitions

Performing some of the best hits from the last four decades, The Transitions are one of the South West’s leading Cover Bands who also write and perform original music. The Transitions consists of two sometimes three members and they are one of the most talented groups around with one of the most varied repertoires you'll find from any duo/trio. Available for any type of event/function including weddings, birthday parties, pubs and corporate events.

The Transitions have 25 years experience of live performances from small gatherings to corporate events including playing to 5,000 people at The Mile One Stadium in St John’s, Canada. They have delighted many a happy couple and their guest’s as well as providing many a giggle, dance and sing-a-long at birthday parties etc across the South West and beyond. Of course The Transitions are also proven veterans on the pub circuit.

The Transitions are mainly a covers outfit with songs ranging from  Cash to The Clash and Rhianna to Outkast now also offering original material..

The Transitions are a band created by men old enough to know better but still young enough to care less. We make a bit of dosh mostly having fun covering great songs you had forgotten you liked, and playing them to poor unsuspecting folks in drinking establishments all over sunny Dorset, Hampshire and Somerset. We don't stick to any genres really so we do have a wide and varied arsenal which is perfect for entertaining varied audiences. When we don't have our primitive cave dweller Mr Listy tapping out beats on his ca’jon (a kind of drum), Karlos plays bass guitar and a bass drum whilst Fatt’s plays guitar and tambourine with his foot. As a result Karlos and Fatts will both need hip replacements in a few years time. Come and check us out sometime and witness how a band with no real talent manages to trick drunk people into thinking we do. Bare in mind in order to do this you will have to stay sober which may not be worth the prize.

When you first hear The Transitions you will be amazed by the fact that there are actually only 2 members. They produce the sound of a 4 or 5 piece band. You will hear drums, bass, guitar, harmonica, melodica, keys, lead vocals and harmonies. All performed live by 2 guys standing right in front of you. The Transitions do not use backing tracks to achieve any of this.

The Transitions will be the highlight of the evening that you and your friends will remember and talk about for many years to come.

They love to play many of their cover versions in there own unique way. Motorhead’s  Ace Of Spades for instance with a country vibe or Rihanna’s Umbrella with a twist of ska! Guaranteed to get you and your mates on the dance floor.

Be warned though, The Transitions are not a cheesy band. You will only hear the very best tunes performed in a totally awesome way. If you want an event of epic proportion that will stand out as one of the best events ever? 2 words ..... The Transitions!
